Experimental

Last night I revealed to the guy I'm currently seeing that I was experimenting on him. From the moment we met I'd never worn the same perfume twice around him. I had read articles about what men like in fragrances and top rated perfumes by men so I decided to test out these theories and opinions on him. There was only one perfume he had commented on before and that ended up being one of the least expensive I own. Mariah Careys' Lollipop Bling in Inseparable made him exclaim "You smell amazing" as he hugged me one night. After telling him of this he smiled and admitted that he really liked what I had on when we went to the movies this past weekend and the one I was wearing at that very moment. Luckily those two are my favorites and both by Dolce and Gabanna :-) Maybe now that he knows I'm testing him he'll pay more attention and give me feedback...either way I think this experiment is fun and interesting enough to continue a little longer.

Admitting it is the first step....

I've known this for a while but lately it's been blatant...I have a perfume addiction!! Even as I type I'm plotting to snag D&Gs new Dolce...even if I have to just get the travel spray or lotion. I rationalize that I need this for my collection because it's so me, so unique, and so pretty. Granted I bought a few perfumes this past month...Mariah Carey Lollipop blings Inseperable AND Vision of Love (those were really to entice my new boyfriend) and then I purchased Katy Perrys Purr because it was only $20 for a large bottle( and I love the kitty design of the bottle). I've been hunting down a bottle of Nina Ricci La Tenations at a decent price too, lol. It's madness I know but I can at least admit it. I like smelling amazing and having options, many days I choose according to my mood or what affect I want to give with my outfit.....that's not so wrong is it?

Just Magical

G'day,
I just want to say how much I adore my new Van Cleef and Arpels Feerie perfume. I bought it for the bottle for only $32 when it retails $90. Unfortunately when I opened it I found that the fairy wings had broke off, but hey, it's nothing hot glue can't fix. The bottle is a round flacon that's faceted like a crystal with colored pearly white glass, topping it is a silver flower with a dainty yet curvy fairy perched on the petals. A whimsically abstract peice of art worthy of display in any boudoir. I believe you may be able to deem this a love potion. When I sprayed it on the fragrance wrapped itself around me. Sweet and soapy it's as if I've buried my face into a fresh icy bouquet of white roses. I do a twirl and the scent swirls around me like magical fairy dust...that's right, it makes me feel like a fairy. If I ever pondered what Queen Titania smelled like THIS would be it. Waltzing down the street you feel like you're enchanting every little thing be it man or creature. Seriously thinking of making it my signature because it really puts a smile on my face :-)

Bonjour, cest moi.

Welcome to my inner thoughts and opinions, I'm Le Nonchalant Enchantress I adore all things beauty, French, and I am a complete product junkie. I got my name from two reoccuring things...people thinking I'm nonchalant and that I look like Penelope Cruz a.k.a "The Spanish Enchantress" plus I won't hesitate to put a little hoo doo on you if you cross me :-) I am a first time mama to a currently one year old boy who is the joy and light of my life, truly he makes me thank Jah every morning and melts away a bad day with his smile and squeals of happiness when I get home. I have worked as a make-up artist, photographer, and promo model among many other positons as well. Ultimately I envision myself owning a small lingerie/parfum boutique helping women find new ways to feel beautiful and entice their men. But enough about me, I want to share 3 of my favorite perfumes to start my blogging journey. These are beautiful fragrances that just evoke feelings of being sexy, happy, and confident in me.

  • Dolce & Gabbanna Sicily
I used to have D&G femme(original) and BY femme, both beautiful on their own and very italian but Sicily just wraps you up in this soft powdery veil that's just the right amount of soapy and sweet. It has a incensey accord which gives an air of mystery. The campaign ad has Monica Bellucci(D&G's forever muse)looking vulnerable and every bit of a cinematic sicilian diva....very fitting.
  • Angel La Rose
The orginal Angel by french parfumer Thierry Muglier has a nearly religious following and I tend to rebel against perfumes that I'm most likely going to smell on others BUT this version shoots it up with a delectable rose jam scent that makes me just swoon and sniff my arm repeatedly to the point that I look weird. It's a strong oriental gourmand not for the shy or "I just want to smell pretty" little girls. This is a womans perfume....full bodied, sensual, eat me up "grr baby" stuff.
  • Monyette Paris
Just absolutely gorgeous. The composition of creamy white florals will bring a smile to your face as it wisks you away to an exotic island. This is an oil so it stays close to your skin, I wore it in the summertime and I would get wafts from the wind and forgetting I had it on wondered what smelled sooo wonderful. LOL it melded to me and didn't overpower which makes it perfect in my book.

There you have it, 3 of my all time favs and if you ever saw my collection you'd know that was really hard to whittle down to!
